Sugar Glider Diet

A sugar gliders diet a very important part of their care to maintain their health. Unfortunately it can be a nuisance for someone who didn’t realize that when they bought their sugar glider. I have been reading a lot in forums lately and it seems that pet shops consistently tell people that sugar gliders can eat a mixture of fruits, veggies and the dreaded pellets. Sure that would be great if it were true, but sugar gliders have a very extensive diet.

There are a number of different diet plans throughout the web that you will stumble across. Some are recommended by vets, others are concoctions people have cooked up in their kitchens. It can be hard to know which diet is right and there isn’t necessarily a diet that is considered right. Over the next few posts I will cover a couple different vet recommended diets. I do not plan to cover anything someone has created in their kitchen. Sure some of them may actually be healthy, but I would rather be safe than sorry, it’s hard to know what is actually healthy for these little guys.

I will be posting one diet plan every 3 to 4 days to give you time to read and research it. Each diet plan can be relatively long in reading so you will need a couple of days to take it all in! Remember any of these diet plans will be okay for your gliders, it is just up to you which ones you will be able to implement into your lives and keep up on every day.
